Pakistan has become 6^th most populous country in the world with the population figure of around 167 million after China, India, United States, Indonesia and Brazil and ranked second in Muslim world after Indonesia. Population rate is continuously increasing at the rate of 1.8% per annum resulting almost 3 million population increases every year. Pakistan’s population may double after 37 years if this rate will continue.

Another survey shows that Pakistan will become 4^th most populous country from 2020 to 2025 if its population will continue to increase with the same rate. This problem is being faced by whole world and almost half of the world is living in first six most populous countries. A study reveals that 14,709 births in each hour, 245 in each minute and 4 in each second are taking place in the world.
