The champion trophy of International Cricket Council (ICC) has beenPCB-ICC Champions Trophy postponed till next year in October 2009 due to security reasons. This trophy was expected to be held in Pakistan from September 12th till September 28th of this year but this event has been delayed as four out of eight teams like Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand have refused to play due to their doubts over uncertain law & order situation prevailing in the country.

This decision was made in Dubai during ICC meeting today and ICC president, David Morgan said, “He has sympathies and complete support for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In meeting, it was also suggested to move this event to other neighboring country but PCB rejected this option and said that if this event would take place in other country then Pakistan would not take part in this trophy.
