A well-known poet of Pakistan, Ahmed Fraz has passed away on Monday.Ahmed Fraz His funeral prayer was offered in Islamabad today which was attended by a number of renowned personalities.

78 years old Ahmed Fraz was born on January 14, 1931 and his real name was Ahmed Shah. He was most famous poet among the people after Iqbal and Faiz. He was honored Hilal-e-Imtiaz in 2004 for his work but later, he returned this award to Musharraf government as a protest due to its policies against Pakistan.

He had been suffering from kidney problem and was admitted in Chicago but recently came back to Pakistan and was hospitalized again in local hospital for treatment but passed away.
