President Asif Ali Zardari addressed the joint session of the ParliamentPresident Zardari around 3.15 pm today. He is 7th president of Pakistan after Zia ul Haq, Ishaq Dar, Waseem Sajjad, Farooq Laghari, Rafiq Tarrar and Pervaiz Musharraf who has addressed the parliament in which all parties, a large number of people of civil society and media participated including PML (N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani.

In his address, he first thanked God for providing such opportunity and said, “I will request the government to set up a committee to review the controversial 17th amendments and 58(2)B. We should keep national interest in our mind and peace in neighborhood therefore; Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai was invited in my oath-taking ceremony. President should advise from the parliament in all issues. We have chosen chairman of public accounts committee from opposition.”
