Indian President Pratibha Patil has received a threat by an email stating the words “doomed” and “damned country”. Her security has been tightened after this threat during her on-going four-day visit to Pune to inaugurate the Common Wealth Youth Games.

Sources have told that intelligence agencies are investigating this threat. This email also states that the attackers may come in any disguise. The name of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is also mentioned in this email but the threat is issued only against the President. No group has claimed yet this responsibility.
