Left-hand opening batsman and former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team Aamir Sohail has been appointed as a director of National Cricket Academy (NCA) of Pakistan. He said that he would leave his commentary for the sake of betterment of cricket in the county.

He said, “Yes, this is Pakistan Cricket Board’s policy that no player or official person can perform media job while contracted with PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). This is not a big deal for me, I can go back to commentary once this assignment is over.”

Besides Aamir Sohail, PCB has also appointed Salim Altaf as Chief Operating Officer and former wicket keeper Wasim Bari as a director Human Resources.
