Fuel Shortage in PunjabSources have reported that almost 90 percent filling stations have been closed by their owners in Punjab while rests of the stations have gone out of stock of fuel. Taking advantage of this situation, fuel outlets are overcharging from general public ranging from Rs. 80 to Rs. 90 per liter and rikshaw drivers are charging extremely high fares.

While on the other hand, owners of the filling stations have claimed that oil and marketing companies have not been providing fuel as per demand for last few days. They have also told one reason of fuel shortage that motorists are buying fuel more than their needs therefore; this panic problem is being faced by others.
