According to New York Times, above 70 U.S. military advisers and technical
specialists are working secretly in Pakistan to help its military operations against Al-Qaeeda and Taliban in tribal areas of Pakistan.
It has also been stated that a small team of Pakistani Air Defense controllers are also working in US Embassy in Islamabad to ensure that Pakistan F-16 fighter-bombers conducting missions against Taliban don’t mistakenly hit remotely piloted American aircrafts (drones) flying in the same area.
It has been also told that foreign advisers are providing training and intelligent but not involved in combating operations.
