(APP):‑ Experienced coach Bilal Mughal will train and coach Pakistan team ahead of the 25th Asian Snooker Championship to be held in China, Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) announced on Monday.

Training camp in build‑up for the continental competition will be held at Karachi Gymkhana Billiards Hall from April 11 to 29, President PBSA Alamgir Anwar Shaikh told APP here.

“PBSA sent an offer to Bilal, who has agreed to impart training and coaching to the players for the Asian snooker gala,” he said.

Newly installed National Champion Muhammad Asif and former Champion Muhammad Sajjad will represent Pakistan in the Asian championship to be held in Tangshan from May 2 to 10.

“Training of the two cueists is very important and that why we have hired the services of Bilal.” he said. That will be benefitting, he hoped.

Sargodha‑based Bilal was appointed Pakistan team coach for a short stint before the Asian championship held in Dubai last May and his pupil Muhammad Sajjad reached the quarterfinal on his debut in the continental gala.

Former World championship finalist in China, Saleh Muhammad lost in the pre‑quarterfinal but became the first cueist to register the maximum break of 147 under his coaching.
